This is a pet portrait commission sketch that I had done about..... 3 years ago now? I'm always trying get a good balance between the loose, chaotic splatters and the organized structure of objects. And in this piece I think I came pretty close to that. The saturation is something that I still struggle with to this day. I don't like when watercolor paintings seem to faint, but in me trying to remedy that - I often overdo the paint. Here I think the eyes look a little too saturated. But other than that I'm pretty happy with how it looks.
